Sand

Sand supplied & delivered in bulk throughout West Yorkshire and beyond.

Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely crushed rock and mineral particles. As a result of this the composition and colour is determined by the local rock source and ground conditions. We source our products from different quarries throughout Yorkshire and can therefore deliver a broad range suitable for a number of functions. These include paving or block laying, bedding cables or pipes, adding strength to mortar, sub soils and specialist surfaces.

Fill Sand

Produced from crushed stone in Limestone, Gritstone and also Sandstone quarries. The grain size is 0/6mm.

Gritsand

Quarried Grit Sand or Sharp Sand which is produced from washed crushed gritstone. Suitable for using under any flagging or paving project when used on top of a sound compact sub base. It has good water drainage properties due to its coarse grading. The grain size is 0/4mm.

Limestone Dust

Fine Limestone. Produced from crushed stone sourced from Limestone quarries. The grain size is 0/4mm.

Recycled Grit Sand

Recycled, washed Grit or Sharp Sand is produced from crushed, inert, recycled construction materials. It can be used under flags and paving on top of a good compact sub base. It has good water drainage properties as a result of its coarse grading. The grain size is 0/4mm.

Arena Sand

Washed Silica Sand which is ideal for equestrian or sports pitch use. A high quality, durable, consistent and free draining material made from crushed quarried stone. The particles have a sub-angular grain shape which is especially relevant to providing a firm, cushioned ride or foot fall. Dust is minimised and excellent drainage qualities are produced as a result of its minimal clay content. A firmer surface is achieved which consequently provides good support for activities on the surface and decreases the possibility of injuries. The grain size is 0/2mm.

Eco Sand

Crushed and washed recycled glass. Post-consumer waste glass collected by local authorities recycling programmes is the raw material use for EcoSand. EcoSand performs as well as quarried, naturally occurring sand and as a result of it being manufactured it will have a more consistent grading than many quarried aggregates. These properties mean EcoSand is a viable low cost alternative to quarried products especially as the industry looks towards more eco-friendly construction materials and methods. The grain size is 0/5mm.

Building Sand

Our building sands are sourced from three areas providing us with Red building, Yellow building and Misson Grey building sand. It is typically combined with cement which adds strength to a mortar mix and provides a smooth finish due to its consistency. Once mixed with mortar and dried the mortar will be grey in colour. It is also good for block or brick laying on top of a firm sub base. Due to its softness it can also be used as a bedding sand for animals. The grain size is 0/2mm.
