BS3882 GT2

BS3882 GT2 Green Tree Top Soil is a purpose-made, certified topsoil produced in line with the BS3882:2015 British Standard for topsoil. Manufactured using a blend of organic compost and overburdened sand recovered from quarry operations, it transforms materials that would otherwise go to landfill into a high-performance, environmentally responsible soil product.

Available in two screened grades, 12 mm for a refined finish and 20 mm for general landscape applications, this topsoil is suitable for a wide range of uses. It performs particularly well in shrub planting, turf laying, seeding, sports field construction, root-balled tree installation, and domestic garden projects. The controlled manufacturing process ensures consistent texture, low stone content, and reliable fertility levels, offering predictable results across both small residential works and large commercial schemes.

Unlike naturally dug soils, this manufactured blend provides improved uniformity and lighter handling characteristics. Its lower density allows for greater volume per load compared to traditional as-dug topsoil, which can help reduce transport requirements on larger projects. The soil is peat free and formulated with sufficient nutrient content to support plant establishment during the first growing season without the immediate need for additional fertiliser.

The organic composition promotes healthy root development while maintaining good water retention and resistance to drought conditions. These properties make it well suited to projects focused on sustainability, biodiversity, and long-term landscape performance.
