When soft drinks giant Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) announced its £31m investment in its West Yorkshire plant, the excitement grew here at PMW as we were selected to be a part of this incredible project!

The investment in a state-of-the-art canning line will lead to an increase in production of 2000 cans per minute at Europe’s largest soft drinks plant (by volume).

Part of the funding will also go towards infrastructure upgrades to optimise the factory for production and future innovations, including the construction and fit of a new raw materials storage warehouse, additional utilities storage and the expansion of other facilities on site.

We may just be a small cog in the entire process, but here at PMW, we understand the need to assist our customers to stay on track with their own commitments to sustainable developments and CCEP is no exception. An organisation committing to a net zero status by 2040 needs to keep its eye of the detail and being able to deliver the necessary aggregates to site and recycle the waste, all helps to reduce its carbon footprint.

The plant is due to open in 2024 and will provide 28 additional jobs as well as upskilling its 500-strong workforce. Another success story for Yorkshire!
